With New Theatre Oxford just moments away, an evening out often begins before the curtain rises. The season ahead brings a strong programme of touring productions and stage adaptations – an easy reason to plan dinner at Treadwell first.
Evenings We’re Looking Forward to at New Theatre Oxford
Just a few minutes’ walk from Treadwell, New Theatre Oxford continues to bring a strong programme of touring productions and stage adaptations to the city. The season ahead offers a mix of music-led storytelling, sharp contemporary writing and familiar titles reworked for the stage – the kind of evenings that invite a considered plan before the curtain goes up.
Among the shows we’re particularly looking forward to are Sunny Afternoon, returning to Oxford with its portrait of The Kinks and the music that defined a moment, and Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, which arrives in the spring following its acclaimed West End run. Later in the season, Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift brings a well-known television story to the stage, offering something a little different in tone.
